Spelling Spectacle sees three performers navigating within a carefully conceived yet playful plan. Their every move shows a glimpse of the immediate future. Do they fall into the trap of impulsive, individual hunches or do they follow the rules that create a stifling collectivity?   

The piece is constructed in real-time, and everything that happens in the space becomes material. Each new image is the result of a previous stepping stone of which everyone carries a memory of what preceded it.  They reveal both the obvious and the magical in con-sequence: the next step, the next room, the next door constantly leaving one space behind, to allow a subsequent one to appear. 

• Norwegian choreographer and dancer Ingrid Berger Myhre lives and works in Brussels and participated in Research Studios at P.A.R.T.S. Language and semiotics are central to her artistic work, and she invariably approaches these themes in a playful manner. Myrhe previously performed at Kaaistudios with In Other Words (2021).
